I would like to briefly relate an experience I had as a child.
I was about eight or nine. It was an autumn night. I lay asleep on the top bunk in the upstairs bedroom of our house in Reading, MA. I had been sleeping for several hours evidently because suddenly I woke up to a dark room and a strange glow coming from the window at the foot of my bed. I crawled forward to look out the window. Behind the leafless trees of the neighborhood hung an object that appeared to be the sun at dusk. It was reddish-orange. Its outline and form seemed broken up much like a setting sun just above the horizon. It was moving. It was moving slowly upwards. And then, as i looked, it moved slowly back downwards. I called my dad and he came running into my room. I pointed out the window and he looked at the strange object that had woken me from a deep sleep.
My memory ends there.

I believe that you're confusing real life with an episode of the Brady Bunch. Don't feel bad though, we've all done that at one time or another.
When I was young, I was playing in the neighborhood on a sunday afternoon with my friends when we saw a metallic object decend from the sky into the woods at the end of the street. We all ran screaming and told our parents, who of course didn't believe a word........that is, until my mother read the monday paper, with an article about UFO sightings in the area over the weekend.
So it was greg brady all along. I was so naive back then.
Of course, I don't believe that UFO's are extraterrestrial in origin. So whatever i saw was either man-made or some weird phenomenon of nature.
Well, I've got to be off. My new native american friend at the Grand canyon will be wondering what happened to me and flashlight full of hot dogs.
I think I remember you telling me that story at one time or another. does dad remember it?
that greg brady was a real SOB, wasn't he? I did love that grand canyon and hawaii series though. vincent price as the evil caveman was...PRICEless...
Hahahaha! I know!
Vincent Price vs. the Brady Bunch
would be a great celebrity death match.
I have to ask dad this weekend if he remembers that night.
