Orb of Chatham

On a summer night in 1935, five people witnessed a strange object rolling into Chatham, Massachusetts, a seaside town on the outer elbow of Cape Cod. (From left to right) Herbert Eldredge, Margaret Snow, Walter Snow, "Gus" Nickerson, and Isabel Porter all reported seeing a black, metallic orb either moving through the streets, hovering in front of the church tower, or rolling through the rooms of a house. Their reports were dismissed as hoaxes.

Two months later to the day on Halloween, all five people mysteriously vanished and were never seen again.

i'll check out weird.nj. I've looked at the weird new england book--some freaky stuff in there.

I looked at the book and it just tells of the journey that the orb made through Chatham. An illustrator/graphic designer who lives in Chatham wrote the book. I don't know the whole back story but there is a lot of weird relationships between these seemingly unrelated people (except for margaret and walter snow--they were married). and the disappearance of all five people has never been explained.

the story of the orb of chatham is true. Those people really saw something and they really disappeared two months later. I don't know what the explanation is for either of these two events.

The orb of chatham website has more information, but a huge amount of it is inaccessible unless you have a code to access it. You have to solve a puzzle that's related to the book to find the code. There are instructions on the website.
