Strange Swirling Surface Feature on the Moon

The Reiner Gamma Formation was originally misidentified as a crater before this and other photos were taken on January 14, 2006. On closer inspection, its true appearance became evident. It is a strange mass of swirls unlike any other topographical feature on the moon. One of the theories about its origin relates how debris from a low-density comet could have changed the properties of the surface material of that region. The ability of the formation to deflect radiation from the sun has promped further study.

discovering radioactive moon zombies is almost as good as proving the existence of sasquatches.

those illustrations are definitely up my alley. I especially like the two guys rowing in the air, the musicians swarming towards the music note edifice, and, my favorite, i think, is the first one--the girl with those strange white creatures leaping.

Some of them seem to be be a combination of comic book art, lisbeth zwerger, and art deco poster art. I really enjoyed viewing those. Thanks for sharing. Is he a contemporary illustrator?
